Benches and street furniture
Find out about the benches, noticeboards and other street furniture that we own and look after in the village.
We look after a number of benches and items of street furniture in Hartford – you can see a summary below.
If you spot any problems with any of these items, please contact us.
- Benches: We have installed many benches around the village, including on Grange Park and alongside the allotments. We have also recently installed new picnic benches on the Green Field, enabling people to socialise and enjoy lunch together outdoors.
- Bins: We look after 17 litter bins in the village. These are located on Grange Park, Lees Park, the Green Field, and at the Village Hall. Please note – Cheshire West and Chester Council look after other bins in the village.
- Hanging baskets and planters: We have four hanging baskets in the centre of Hartford, to enhance the village, and two new planters at the end of School Lane on the A556 to welcome people to the village. Hartford Civic Society has also kindly installed baskets and planters in the village.
- Noticeboards: Hartford Parish Council has three noticeboards in the village: one outside our Village Hall, one opposite the Co-op on Chester Road, and one on The Green. On the noticeboards, we display statutory notices, such as agendas for our upcoming meetings, and notices about our elections.
If you’re a charity or community group, and you’re running an event for the village, we may be able to display an A4 poster for you on the noticeboards. Contact us for more information. Please note, we will not display any business adverts.
