As the sun sets on summer, we turn our thoughts to the festive season. The Community Elves are
pleased to confirm that this year’s Christmas Fayre will take place on Saturday 2 December from
1100-1500 hrs.
Hartford Parish Council supports the Fayre and will manage the Event Application Request
documentation and the risk assessment as required by CWAC. Hartford Civic Society has again
kindly offered to manage the stall fee payments and HPC will also provide local advertising for the
event, stall plan and map of Hartford highlighting other facilities such as shop offers and
refreshments, etc.
Last year space was tight with some stall holders unable to book a stall. This year we will be using
the Village Hall (CW8 1LW) to provide additional space specifically for some food and drink gifts.
This hall could also be an ideal location for a Santa’s Grotto as well as for the sale for raffle,
tombola and draws tickets. The details of these are currently being worked on. The Church Hall
(CW8 1NP) has a large main hall and a number of other rooms, as well as two external covered
areas which are ideal for musical entertainment. Both venues have toilet facilities, are fully
accessible and provide suitable on-site parking for off-loading and packing up.
A stall space is large enough for a 2 x 1m table; price is per space (see Terms & Conditions).
Tables (1.83 x .87m tables) are available free of charge but you must order when registering.
Village shop and hostelry owners who wish to take part within their premises, ie selling raffle
tickets, competitions, or setting up a stall outside but on their property, should also complete the
Registration Form so their details can also be included in the event application, promotion of the
event and on the map.
NB. Stall space is allocated on a first come, first served basis. Duplication of specific offers, ie
same provider/brand/product are not accepted (you will be advised if this is the case). Closing
date for registrations: Friday 17 November – unless all space allocated before then!
