Hartford Fun Run Day 2019

Join us for our annual Fun Run Day on Sunday, 28 April! Focused on family fitness and fun, together with general well-being, it’s open to everyone; from joggers and family groups, to general exercisers and strollers. This is a fun run, not a race, so there’s no excuse not to get involved. Register for your FREE tickets now (select the quantity you require) and let’s all make this a day to remember!

Where to come

Registration begins from 10am at Hartford Manor Primary School, with a warm up at 11.15. The 3k and 2k Fun Runs get underway at 11.30, followed by the Children’s Fun Run at 12.45.

Toilets and a bag drop are available. Refreshments are kindly provided by the Friends of Hartford Manor, and Hartford High School’s Samba Band will be providing musical entertainment.

The Fun Run routes

The 3k Fun Run is down through Marshall’s Arm, turning right and following the River Weaver pathway to the Blue Bridge, and back across the river flood plain. Entrants are advised that this route includes some inclined stepped pathways and some flat wet grasslands, therefore they should consider their own fitness compatibility. Due to the inclined terrain children must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian at all times. Marshall’s Arm will remain open to the general public.

The 2k Fun Run route will utilise Hartford Campus, accessing only via Hartford Manor Primary School and following the lower campus perimeter fence past St Nicholas’ netball courts, the Manor House, and back via the running track. The route will include flat grass with some muddy patches.

The Children’s Fun Run is a more relaxed circuit contained within Hartford Manor Primary School perimeter, and is similar to a school sports day. Whilst more competitive children can use the fun run to test themselves against their own times and against others, participation should ultimately be for fun so we urge parents and guardians not to put children under undue pressure to perform. There will also be a circuit for children’s buggies and wheelchairs.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept dogs onto the school grounds, except for assistance dogs.

With safety in mind the routes have been chosen to avoid any clash with road traffic. Entrants are encouraged to arrive on foot as there’s very limited parking at the Hartford Manor Primary School. Any parking should show care and consideration to residents in Hazelmere Close, Carriage Drive and Stones Manor Lane. Hartford High Bus Park and front car park are a short walk via Carriage Drive.
