Hartford Parish council have organised a working group to look at what the council can do to support the community over this very difficult time in dealing with the affects of Covid-19 on the community; short term and long term. The council is aware that the business community plays a significant part in the wellbeing of Hartford and has included Hartford local business support in the focus of the working group.

Hartford Business Directory
This will be a directory of Hartford businesses which will be distributed to all households in Hartford. The cost of producing and distributing this is being covered by Hartford Parish Council, and marketing support will also be provided if you need help to design your advert. This is a great way to encourage the village to pull together and support small businesses by letting them know the local businesses they are surrounded by and encouraging everyone to shop local.
Hartford Village Intranet
Designing and setting up a website can be time consuming and overwhelming for small business owners.
Imagine if Hartford Village had one webpage which hosted a page for all of our small business owners, allowing them to share details of their business, share their wins, and even to sell their products through this platform. We are currently in consultation and looking to set something like this up for the village. All of the set up costs will be covered by the Parish Council, however there may be a small ongoing charge for the hosting of the site which can be shared across all business owners. All details would be shared in advance.
Hartford Business Networking
Hartford business owners meet twice monthly online to talk about their businesses, discuss current challenges and look for ways to work together and support one another. The sessions are quite informal and anyone is welcome to join. There is no charge for the sessions which take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30am and on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm.
