COVID-19

In line with the advice from the Government, Hartford Parish Council has decided today to take the following actions.

  1. Both the Village Hall and the Parish Office are closed until further notice. Hirers of the Village Hall have been notified. It is important that residents can seek advice from the Parish Clerk. This can be done by emailing clerk@hartfordparishcouncil.org.uk or by leaving a message on the office answer machine 01606 784401. Both will be checked regularly. The Council will continue to function and all enquiries will be dealt with
  2. Council meetings will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. Matters requiring urgent attention will be dealt with by phone or email.
  3. The printing and distribution of the Hartford News has been suspended. We will continue to try and pass information to residents via facebook and twitter but we realise this will inconvenience residents without access to a computer.

This is obviously a very concerning time for all residents. It is important that we keep a check  on the more vulnerable in our community. It is very important that people do not feel isolated so try and keep regular contact with neighbours, friends and family by phone, email or social media. Social distancing must not mean social isolation. I am sure that as a community we will all pull together.
