Community Comfort
Hartford is a fantastic, friendly village, but for many people – particularly disabled people, or people with additional needs – going into the village centre can be a challenge.
Perhaps you’re concerned about finding an accessible toilet, or finding somewhere to have a rest indoors when you’re out and about… Fortunately, lots of businesses and organisations in Hartford are keen to help. Find out about Hartford’s Community Comfort initiative.
Under Hartford’s Community Comfort initiative, participating businesses and organisations will allow members of the public to use their toilet facilities, free-of-charge, during normal opening hours. They also have seats indoors, for anyone who needs a rest, free-of-charge. See table below for details.
To add your Hartford-based business / organisation to this list, please contact clerks@hartfordparishcouncil.org.uk. Participating premises will shortly be offered a sticker to display in their window, advertising the service.
This Community Comfort initiative is part of Hartford Parish Council’s Accessible Age-Friendly Hartford project. Find out about our plans to make Hartford more accessible and welcoming, and how you can share your feedback.
